The 2014 International CES Show is underway in Las Vegas! LYNKtec is proud to debut the TruGlide Apex - our brand new, electronic, fine-point stylus. The Apex was funded by our amazing supporters on Kickstarter, and we now have the finished product available to try at our CES booth - #60001 in LVH!
Today is day 1 for exhibitors on the show floor. Here are some of the best and worst we've seen so far at 2014 CES....
3D Printers
3D printers have been put to great use in many fields, including the medical, aerospace, and automotive fields. Layers of material are laid down to create a 3-dimensional object from a computer image. These printers are now reaching a lower price and smaller size that's better for consumers.

Sense Mother
This new device - the Sense Mother - comes with "cookies" that can attach to anything. Attach a cookie to your children's backpacks, and it can alert you when they get home from school. Set a cookie next to your bed, and it can tell you if you're getting enough sleep!

SmartHome Appliances
Samsung is bringing several new ideas to 2014 CES, from entertainment to home appliances. Voice interaction services for your TV, large washing machines that do a family of four's laundry in just 30 minutes, and an oven that can cook two dishes at different temperatures simultaneously are among Samsung's showcased products.

Augmented-reality Contact Lenses
Just like in a futuristic movie, these new contact lenses from Innovega will allow you to see displays and data projected right in front of your eyes! You'll soon be able to view maps, videos, web pages, and more without even looking at your smartphone. Yes, they will even contain your prescription. Of all the wearable tech showcased at CES, this is one of the coolest!

TruGlide Apex
Of course, our newest product needs to be on the "best" list! LYNKtec is introducing the TruGlide Apex to CES show-goers this week. The electronic Apex stylus features an ultra-fine point of just 2.3mm. It makes your stylus to iPad writing experience feel just like writing with a pen on paper!

The WellShell is a button-less, pressure-sensitive device meant for isometric (applying pressure to build strength) exercises. The company says it's like a "gym in your pocket". It can also be used for smartphone gaming, heart rate monitoring, and tracking sleep. This device has a predicted price tag of $200-300. This is on the "worst" list because it seems there are more effective, less expensive ways to get a quick workout without carrying this product around.

Samsung's Big Guest Speaker - "Transformers" Director Michael Bay - Leaves Stage Mid-Press Conference
Some people are just not public speakers. Samsung's guest speaker, director Michael Bay, had a problem with his teleprompter and then didn't know what to say. The host tried to get him back on track by asking a question, but Michael Bay was not up for improvising and walked off the stage. He later wrote this on his website:
"Wow! I just embarrassed myself at CES - I was about to speak for Samsung for this awesome Curved 105-inch UHD TV. I rarely lend my name to any products, but this one is just stellar. I got so excited to talk, that I skipped over the Exec VP's intro line and then the teleprompter got lost. Then the prompter went up and down - then I walked off. I guess live shows aren't my thing. But I'm doing a special curved screen experience with Samsung and Transformers 4 footage that will be traveling around the world."
Poor guy, but hey, it made him one of the most talked-about things at CES so far!
